Designation Risk Analyst Testing



An Analyst (Testing) is expected to play the Testing expert role for a Project / Program. This may not include managing any testing resources/team. Support Project Manager / Test manager in test plan development for a project (in line with Test strategy/Program level Test plan), Low level test planning, task allocation/ review, reporting to business, project, testing practice, Management teams. Ensuring successful execution of allocated testing tasks including testing execution, discussing defects within team / with project team, logging defects in a tool and reporting to Test lead / Test manager, as required. Ensure regular communication with business users, business analysts, developers, project managers to define and document comprehensive Regression Test cases for all Functional and Non-Functional requirements across systems Coordinate with Project manager/test manager to ensure that Testing is completed as per plan including closure of agreed defects. Understanding of the Business processes, and knowledge and experience of the core technologies used in Risk domain (such as Core Java, J2EE, C# .Net, Sybase, Oracle etc.)

Requirements

4+ years of experience in a Software organisation on testing (Web technologies, Client/ Server).

Any relevant experience in development can also be considered. Good experience of manual testing throughout the testing life cycle.

Should be conversant with databases and in writing testing queries (e.g. SQL queries). Understand the application and write test scripts/conditions using a tool (e.g. Test Director/PVCS Tracker) and its review. Expertise in test prioritisation and ability to perform the core testing in given timelines Hands on with Test Design, Test Scheduling, Test Execution and defect tracking/resolution and metrics

Experience to carry out Test execution, logging of defects, preparation of daily test logs, updation of Requirements Traceability Matrix.

Experience of using tools such as Test Director, PVCS Tracker for test planning and defect management.

Experience in adapting to testing processes and providing inputs for process improvements.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Analytical mindset with ability to work on Applications and Systems with complex algorithmic calculations. Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with ability to multi-task under pressure



Supplementary Skills: (Preferred skills)

Ability to code test cases using Java language.

Experience in automated testing using tools (QTP, Win Runner, Load runner, and other tools) will be preferred. Exposure to Change and Configuration Management using CVS, CruiseControl and Maven Knowledge of Investment banking, Credit Risk, Market Risk and Investment banking Front Office and Back Office Systems Formal certifications in Testing (ISEB, CSTE) will be an added advantage.
